This site contains material used courses taught by the Department of Analytical Chemistry of Radboud University in Nijmegen. The courses are primarily aimed at students in the cluster of Molecular Sciences (i.e. Chemistry, Molecular Life Sciences ('MLW') and Science), and cover the Bachelor as well as the Master phase.
This website offers material for the following courses:
- Chemical Analysis (NWI-MOL001): a first-year bachelor course that covers the basics of statistics, spectroscopy and chromatography.
- Chemometrics I (NWI-MOL065): an optional third-year bachelor course, covering essential chemometric techniques, such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Squares (PLS). It is aimed at multivariate analysis of data, in contrast to the univariate methods covered in Statistics. This course is obligatory to all students who want to do a master internship at the Analytical Chemistry (Chemometrics) department.
- Pattern Recognition (NWI-SM193A): an optional master course that covers the basics of a set of different data analysis techniques often found and used in current research. Moreover, the proper way of conducting data analysis is covered.
